The CIP Evidence Request Tool (ERT) is the format used by the ERO Enterprise (NERC and the Regional Entities, collectively) to request information from registered entities during oversight engagements.

The newest version of the ERT (v8.1) was released by NERC on February 8, 2024. MRO has included ERT v8.1 in the audit notification packet templates here, which also include a User Guide and a list of MRO specific changes made to the NERC version of the ERT. (MRO’s changes are purely administrative and help guide users through MRO’s audit process.) A list of changes made to the ERT can be found in the “CIP Evidence Request Tool Release Notes” linked here.
