Reliability Analysis

Home / Program Areas / Reliability Analysis

In pursuit of its vision of a highly reliable and secure North American bulk power system, MRO works closely with the ERO Enterprise (collectively NERC and the Regional Entities) and industry to assess the operational performance and overall reliability and resiliency of the bulk power system within MRO’s regional footprint. This is accomplished through four main functions: Bulk Power Situational Awareness (SA), Event Analysis (EA), Performance Analysis (PA), and Reliability Assessments (RA). These four functions create a feedback loop for reliability by gathering and analyzing data on the bulk power system and sharing the results of this analysis with the public. The following pages highlight our efforts in this area.
