On September 18, 2025, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved the revised Reliability Standard EOP-012-3 for Extreme Cold Weather Preparedness and Operations with an effective date, October 1, 2025.

As part of this approved version of the standard for entities within U.S. jurisdiction, there are Periodic Data Submittals (PDS) for Requirements R6.4, R7.2 and R8.1. Entities may submit information within Align using the PDS module, which will be available on the effective date of the standard, which is October 1, 2025.

In addition, an updated ERO Enterprise Periodic Data Submittals Schedule will be posted within the next two weeks on NERC’s One-Stop Shop (within the Compliance drop down) and the EOP-012-3 Reliability Standard Audit Worksheet (RSAW) is currently posted on NERC’s website.
