Position Summary

The Risk Assessment and Mitigation/Enforcement Administrator provides administrative support to the Director of Risk Assessment and Mitigation (RAM), Director of Enforcement and External Affairs, and the RAM and Enforcement and External Affairs staff. This position facilitates RAM and Enforcement related processes and performs general office duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drafts and reviews of enforcement documents, including formal documents regarding enforcement actions, settlement agreements, internal legal memorandums and policy documents
  • Assists in the continuous improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the enforcement processes, including, but not limited to the Self-Logging Program, key performance indicators, and processing efficiencies
  • Represents MRO in discussions with registered entities, other regional entities, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) concerning Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP) matters
  • Represents and maintains productive relationships on the ERO groups including the Enforcement Group and other ERO groups as assigned, which includes attending meetings of the industry forums as assigned
  • Promotes and fosters harmonious relationships with the internal CMEP teams to successfully implement and support MRO’s Mission of a highly reliable and secure North American Bulk Power System
  • Performs legal research and provides legal advice to the Director of Enforcement and External Affairs and the extended internal management team members on Enforcement matters
  • Assists the Director of Enforcement and External Affairs with External Affairs outreach and matters, as requested
  • Other duties as assigned
