Position Summary

The Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program Tools Specialist is responsible for the functionality, data oversight, and development of necessary Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP) related tools and reports, including the creation of visual charts and graphs. This position serves as the point person to ensure that the tools used to manage the workflow process and CMEP activity/status is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison to North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) for the support of the ALIGN data management system; including the management and oversight of ticket submissions (footprints), change agent communication responsibility and end-user training
  • Develop and create required charts and graphs utilizing tools such as Excel, SAP Business Objects, Web Intelligence, and/or Power Business Intelligence
  • Identify and optimize process improvement to leverage CMEP tools and reporting capabilities
  • Develop and/or support applications, tools, and communication related to workflow tracking
  • Proactively provide instruction and guidance related to tool capabilities to procedure owners
  • Create procedures to track and report CMEP/Rules of Procedure Key Performance Indicators
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent application tools work experience
  • A minimum of five years progressive experience developing complex reports using SQL programming
  • Advanced SharePoint and Excel experience and skills
  • Experience interpreting data, creating metrics, manipulating data, and providing support on forecasting based on key performance indicators for relevant departments
  • Visibility and experience using the NERC CMEP tool Align preferred
  • Strong organizational and technical writing skills, desired

Supervisor Responsibility

  • Individual contributor role, no supervisory responsibilities

Physical Working Conditions and Travel Requirements

  • Standard office environment, requires mobility and sedentary work
  • Travel Requirement: Less than 10%
