Misoperations: Submitting Quality Information to MIDAS

A technical webinar was hosted by Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) that focused on submitting quality information for misoperations in MIDAS.
Submitting timely, complete, and accurate information in MIDAS is important to MRO and the ERO to ensure misoperations are properly categorized and trends are properly identified. The session featured John Grimm, P.E., Principal Systems Protection Engineer, and Sarah Wernette, Senior System Protection Engineer, who discussed how to fill out and update MIDAS with clear and concise information to minimize follow-up informational requests from MRO.
The webinar explored:
- Submitting, reviewing, and updating information in the MIDAS portal
- Using the MIDAS DRI and other resources
- A review of the MIDAS reporting template and fields that commonly require follow-up requests
- Examples of MIDAS submittals that did and did not require follow-up requests
This session was intended for protection engineers, reliability and compliance personnel, and others responsible for protection system performance.
