MRO recently participated in a discussion with the other Regional Entities related to the self-certification processes used by each region. The purpose of this meeting was to create greater harmonization in how self-certifications are handled across the ERO Enterprise.

As a result, beginning in the fourth quarter of 2025, MRO will no longer post a self-certification schedule with the requirements and standards to be considered for the following year. A self-certification schedule will still be posted but will only include the typical timeline for when the initial notification is sent out, when the self-certification record will become active, and the due date of the self-certification based on the quarter.

We also discussed notifications for Periodic Data Submittals (PDS) and self-certifications. MRO will implement a new process that includes sending these notices to smaller groups. This will still be sent to all applicable entities, but there will be multiple distributions of smaller groups to ensure that all email notifications for Primary Compliance Contacts are received.

We recommend that registered entities confirm a PDS or self-certification by logging into Align on the corresponding distribution dates and that any discrepancies be reported to Kendra Buesgens ([email protected]).
