MRO Board of Directors Election Results

Saint Paul, Minn. Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) recently solicited nominations from its industry sector members to fill open or expiring seats on the board of directors. Following the nomination period, electronic ballots were sent to those sectors with open seats on the board. The ballot period closed on October 20, 2023, and the election results are in!

Canadian Utility Sector

Generator and Power Marketer Sector

Investor Owned Utility Sector (IOU <3k)

  • Darcy Neigum, Montana-Dakota Utilities, term ending December 31, 2026

Municipal Utility Sector

The election results will be highlighted at the Annual Member and Board Meeting on December 14, 2023, and the directors will be seated on the board on January 1, 2024, with the exception of James Nail, who is seated on the board as of October 23, 2023.

Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the reliability and security of the bulk power system in the central region of North America, including parts of both the United States and Canada. MRO is one of six regional entities in North America operating under authority from regulators in the United States through a delegation agreement with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and in Canada under similar arrangements. The primary focus of MRO is developing and ensuring compliance with reliability standards and assessing the grid’s ability to meet the demands for electricity.
