HOT TOPIC: MRO Seeks Nominations for Board, Organizational Group Positions

Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) would like to notify its members of positions on MRO’s Board of Directors and organizational groups that are vacant or will expire on December 31, 2022. MRO is also seeking nominations for individuals to sponsor for NERC organizational groups.

The nomination period opens today and closes on October 14, 2022.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating on the MRO Board or on an organizational group, please consider submitting a nomination today.

MRO Board Expiring or Open Seats:

  • Cooperative Sector – term ending 12/31/2025
  • Generator and Power Marketer Sector – term ending 12/31/2025
  • Generator and Power Marketer Sector – term ending 12/31/2024
  • Investor Owned Utility Sector (less than 3000 megawatts of end-use load) – term ending 12/31/2025
  • Investor Owned Utility Sector (equal to or great than 3000 megawatts of end-use load) – term ending 12/31/2025
  • Investor Owned Utility Sector (equal to or great than 3000 megawatts of end-use load)  – term ending 12/31/2025
  • Municipal Utility Sector – term ending 12/31/2025
  • Transmission System Operator Sector – term ending 12/31/2025

  • NERC Security Working Group (SWG) – term ending 12/31/2025
  • NERC Inverter-Based Resource Performance Subcommittee (IRPS) – term ending 12/31/2025
  • NERC System Protection and Control Working Group (SPCWG) – term ending 12/31/2025
  • NERC Supply Chain Task Force (SCTF) – term ending 12/31/2024
  • NERC Project Management and Oversight Subcommittee (PMOS) – term ending 12/31/2024

Through these open positions, MRO members are provided an opportunity to share information and best practices, offer input on MRO’s activities to identify, assess and mitigate risk, and develop a network of industry peers.
